Recently, the Guangdong Light Industry Federation released the list of winning projects for the Science and Technology Award of the Guangdong Light Industry Federation in 2023. Sitong’s “R&D and Industrialization of Double-layer Reactive Red Glaze Daily Porcelain” project won the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award and the ” The project “Research and Development and Industrialization of New Matt Glaze Daily Porcelain” won the third prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award, which once again, demonstrates Sitong’s strong scientific and technological innovation capabilities and its strong strength in promoting the transformation and implementation of technological achievements.
The “R&D and Industrialization of Double-layer Reactive Red Glaze Daily Porcelain” project was independently developed and completed by Guangdong Sitong Group Co., Ltd. The project technology has solved the technical problems of red-glazed tableware, such as “difficulty in firing, low yield, and unstable color development”, and has produced a new double-layer red reactive glazed daily-use porcelain with features of “glaze like grease, pure tones, and extremely aesthetic”. The product has the characteristics of high hardness and strong resistance to scratches from metal knives and forks, meeting the needs of the international market.
The project “Research and Development and Industrialization of New Matt Glaze Daily Porcelain” was independently developed and completed by Guangdong Sitong Group Co., Ltd. This project technology solves the technical problems of “low glaze hardness and easily scratched”, and develops a new product of matte glaze daily porcelain, which has high resistance of thermal shock and strong metal knife and fork scratch resistance, filling the gap in the international market.
The above two achievements have won 2 authorized invention patents. These achievements were identified as “internationally advanced” by the scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting organized by the Guangdong Light Industry Federation in Nov. 2023. At present, the products have been put into large-scale production, and are selling well in domestic and overseas markets.
Sitong currently has 110 R&D personnel. Sitong has always been at the forefront of the ceramic industry. Currently, Sitong has obtained 108 authorized patents, including 16 invention patents, 21 utility model patents and 71 design patents. The above technical achievements have effectively promoted technological progress in the industry and assisted the transformation and upgrading of the ceramic industry.
For a long time, Sitong has actively implemented an innovation-driven strategy, continuously increased investment in research and development, strengthened applied basic research, improved independent research and development capabilities, made breakthroughs in key core technologies, used scientific and technological innovation achievements to empower “China’s intelligent manufacturing”, and led construction of modern industrial system with scientific and technological innovation to promote high-quality development of the ceramic industry.
